This ongoing project attempts to explore, through simple portraits, the different people and unique personalities that make the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu so extraordinary.
Shot on 8x10 film, each photo is then made into a unique contact print in the darkroom.
The project started in late 2014 in Portland, Oregon and has now spanned two continents. The goal is to photograph as many Jiu Jitsu artists, in as many locations as possible.
