Oregon Coast

Sometime in the late 1960s, my Grandfather decided to build a house on the Oregon coast. My grandfather was a physician meaning he made a very decent living, but while his colleagues spent their money on Mercedes Benzes and lavish vacations, he built a place for his small family to escape the city, as well as a permanent home for his fishing boat. A perfectly normal thing for a man of Swedish and Norwegian stock to do. "Eat. Sleep. Fish." This was Raymond Thomas Gustafson in a nutshell. It even said so on the bumper of every car he owned from the time I was 10 years old.
